The Everest Challenge is an annual fundraising event that is put on by one of the local schools, Le Murier School and aims to raise money for the school’s residential education programme. The challenge is designed around the 8,848 metres heigh of the Himalayan Peak and involves sponsored teams of 6–8 people climbing for an hour, with each team aiming to complete a minimum of 15 ascents of our climbing wall, i.e. 100 metres. It's a brilliant opportunity to give back to the community as well as taking advantage of using the climbing wall, which our young people loved! |
